Sealflex S
High-modulus epoxy-polyurethane sealant with high chemical and mechanical resistance, for sealing expansion and contraction joints

Drykos® Sealflex S is a two-component thixotropic elastomeric sealant based on epoxy-polyurethane, developed for high-performance sealing of joints in concrete structures subject to mechanical stress, traffic, and chemical aggression. Once mixed and hardened, the product forms an elastic material with high mechanical and chemical resistance, characterized by excellent adhesion to substrates, high durability, and dimensional stability over time.
Thanks to the combination of elasticity and resistance, Drykos® Sealflex S is particularly suitable for industrial and infrastructural applications where reliable sealing is required even under severe conditions, including exposure to oils, hydrocarbons, detergents, and dynamic load cycles.

Application info
Substrate preparation
Substrates must be sound, compact, clean, and dry, free of dust, oils, grease, loose parts, or contaminants that could compromise adhesion. Joints must be previously cleaned and emptied of any loose material by vacuuming or washing. It is necessary to provide a suitable joint backer rod made of compressible material to control the depth and geometry of the seal. On special substrates (metals, ceramics, etc.), the use of specific primers is recommended to improve adhesion.
Product preparation
Drykos® Sealflex S is a two-component product to be mixed in the specified ratio. Before use, homogenize the components separately, then add component B to component A and mix thoroughly using a low-speed stirrer until a uniform, streak-free mixture is obtained. It is essential to use the entire content of the components to ensure the correct mixing ratio and avoid performance alterations.
Application
After properly preparing the substrate and the joint, Drykos® Sealflex S must be applied after complete mixing of the two components until a homogeneous and streak-free mixture is obtained. The product is then applied using a spatula or sealant gun, completely filling the joint section and avoiding air entrapment. It is essential to compact the material against the joint walls to ensure perfect adhesion and continuity of the seal.
The surface must then be smoothed to obtain a uniform finish and ensure the correct joint geometry. For visible joints, masking tape can be used to define the application area.
In the case of combined systems with Drykos® Flexstrip 250, Drykos® Sealflex S is applied to the sides of the joint with adequate thickness; the strip is then positioned on the fresh product and pressed uniformly until complete contact with the substrate is achieved. Subsequently, the edges are covered with additional product, creating a continuous, elastic, and highly waterproof system.
The workability time varies depending on the temperature, while complete hardening occurs progressively over approximately 7 days.
Cleaning of tools
To clean tools and equipment, use thinners suitable for epoxy resins. Unhardened material can be removed with solvent, while after hardening it can only be removed mechanically.
