Flexstrip 250
FPO waterproofing sealing tape for watertight expansion joints

Drykos® Flexstrip 250 is a high-performance elastomeric waterproofing tape made of special FPO (flexible polyolefin), designed for sealing and waterproofing expansion joints subject to movement.
The product is characterized by high elasticity, mechanical strength, and durability, making it suitable for applications in demanding conditions, even in the presence of hydrostatic pressure. The specific design with perforated edges allows for excellent integration with epoxy adhesives, ensuring perfect adhesion and the creation of a monolithic system between the substrate, adhesive, and tape.
Drykos® Flexstrip 250 is suitable for civil, industrial, and infrastructural applications, in both underground and above-ground structures.

Application info
Substrate preparation
Surfaces intended for application must be adequately prepared to ensure optimal system adhesion.
Concrete substrates must be solid, free of loose parts, dust, oils, grease, release agents, or existing coatings, through sandblasting, shot blasting, or equivalent mechanical preparation, followed by thorough cleaning. The concrete must have adequate tensile strength (≥ 1.5 N/mm²) and sufficient curing before application.
Metal surfaces must be perfectly clean and free of oxidation, while plastic substrates must be appropriately roughened to promote adhesion.
Application
Drykos® Flexstrip 250 is applied by bonding with Drykos® Epomatrix epoxy adhesive, spread uniformly on the sides of the joint with a notched trowel at an appropriate thickness. The tape is then positioned on the fresh resin, pressing it carefully to ensure full contact with the substrate and to eliminate any air bubbles or discontinuities. Correct installation is ensured when the epoxy adhesive extrudes through the lateral perforations of the tape.
Subsequently, a further layer of Drykos® Epomatrix is applied to the edges of the tape to protect it and ensure system continuity. Any joints between tapes must be made by overlapping and hot-air welding, ensuring the hydraulic continuity of the system.
Mechanical and adhesion performance develops progressively, reaching significant values after 24 hours and final performance after approximately 7 days.
Other indications
- Apply the product exclusively to adequately prepared substrates.
- Ensure system continuity through correct installation and welding of joints.
- Avoid application in unsuitable environmental conditions (condensation, excessive humidity, frozen surfaces).
- Verify the compatibility of the adhesive with the substrate beforehand.
