Dryrep

Water-based water-repellent, protective, and consolidating impregnating agent for absorbent surfaces

Drykos® Dryrep is a single-component, water-based liquid water-repellent impregnating agent designed for the protection of absorbent mineral surfaces.
The product, characterized by low viscosity and high penetration capacity, diffuses into the pores and capillaries of the substrate, reacting chemically and forming a permanent hydrophobic barrier, resistant to water and atmospheric agents, without creating surface films and without altering the aesthetic appearance of the material.
Thanks to its non-film-forming and breathable nature, Drykos® Dryrep maintains the vapor permeability of the substrate, contributing to the protection of surfaces against water absorption, efflorescence formation, and degradation due to freeze-thaw cycles and aggressive agents.

Color

Colorless after application.

Appearance

Liquid.

Storage

12 months from application date.

Storage conditions

Store properly in the original, sealed, intact packaging, protected from frost and direct sunlight exposure, at temperatures between +5°C and +35°C.

Theoretical consumption

Consumption depends on the porosity and absorption of the substrate. From 0.2 to 1 L per m2.

Yield

~ 1 L per 5 m2

Application temperatures (substrate and environment)

Minimum +5 °C | Maximum +35 °C

Substrate preparation

Surfaces must be clean, sound, dry, and free from dust, oils, greases, efflorescence, and loose particles. Any contamination must be removed by washing with suitable detergents or pressure washing. Surfaces must be allowed to dry completely before application to facilitate product penetration. Any cracks or defects in the substrate must be repaired beforehand.

Product preparation

Drykos® Dryrep is a ready-to-use product and must not be diluted. Thoroughly homogenize the product by manually shaking the sealed container before application.

Application

Drykos® Dryrep must be applied uniformly by low-pressure spraying, roller, or brush, ensuring complete saturation of the substrate. Application should preferably be carried out in one or more wet-on-wet passes until material saturation is achieved.
On vertical surfaces, it is recommended to apply the product from bottom to top, avoiding runs and accumulations.
The product must penetrate completely into the substrate without forming surface films.

Cleaning of tools

Clean tools with water immediately after use. Hardened product can only be removed mechanically.

Other indications
  • Do not apply on wet or water-saturated substrates
  • Do not apply in case of imminent rain or unfavorable weather conditions
  • Protect treated surfaces from rain for at least 24 hours
  • Do not apply on non-absorbent surfaces or surfaces already treated with film-forming products
  • Always perform a preliminary test to verify absorption and aesthetic effect
