Dryseal
Single-component, ready-to-use, high-penetration liquid waterproofing agent with crystallizing action for cementitious substrates

Drykos® Dryseal is a water-based, single-component liquid waterproofing agent with crystallizing action, designed for the restoration and protection of concrete and cementitious matrix substrates.
Applied superficially, preferably by spray, the product penetrates deep into the cementitious matrix and reacts chemically with the moisture present and the by-products of cement hydration. This reaction generates a needle-like crystalline formation that seals pores and micro-cracks, restoring the concrete in depth and increasing its durability.
Drykos® Dryseal is capable of sealing damp cracks up to 0.5 mm, significantly reducing the permeability of the concrete mix. The decrease in porosity limits the penetration of water, gases, and aggressive substances, improving the material’s resistance to chemical attacks and freeze-thaw cycles.
A single application is sufficient to activate the waterproofing and restorative action. The product maintains its effectiveness over time thanks to its ability to reactivate in the presence of new moisture, establishing a permanent protection mechanism within the concrete mass. The combined use of Drykos® Dryseal and Drykos® Dryseal Ultra increases the durability of the concrete by combining their sealing and water-repellent properties.
Features
DRYKOS® Technology
Drykos® crystallizing technology is distinguished by its efficiency through a chemical reaction with moisture and the by-products of cement hydration. This process generates, within the pores, capillaries, and cavities of the concrete, an insoluble crystalline complex that prevents water penetration. This complex becomes an integral part of the concrete mass, ensuring its resistance to water and aggressive chemical agents from any direction, promoting restoration and protection, imparting waterproof properties, and increasing its durability and service life.

Application info
Substrate preparation
The surfaces to be treated must be stable, clean, and free of contaminants that could compromise the correct application and penetration of the product, such as dust, dirt, grease, oils, residues of previous coatings, or surface treatments. Any loose, weak, or poorly adhering parts must be removed beforehand.
In the case of application on substrates isolated from direct contact with the ground or in the absence of natural moisture, the surface must be wetted to saturation with clean water before applying Drykos® Dryseal, avoiding any standing water or surface puddles.
Excess water must be completely removed and the surface left to dry until it reaches a damp but not wet surface condition. It is recommended to eliminate any standing water at least 24 hours before applying the waterproofing product.
Product preparation
Drykos® Dryseal is a ready-to-use product and must not be diluted. Thoroughly homogenize the product by manually shaking the sealed container before application.
Application
Drykos® Dryseal must be applied in a single coat using a brush, roller, or low-pressure spray, ensuring an even distribution of the product over the entire surface to be treated.
During application, it is necessary to work the substrate thoroughly to favor the correct penetration of the product into the cementitious matrix and ensure continuous and uniform coverage. It is important to avoid accumulation or pooling of material on the surface, as any excess can lead to the formation of whitish powdery residues; if present, these residues can be removed by simple washing with water.
During application, the treated substrate may show temporary surface darkening, which disappears completely at the end of the drying process.
Drying times vary depending on environmental conditions and temperature: under standard conditions, it is necessary to wait 2–4 hours before allowing foot traffic. Vehicular traffic can be restored 48–72 hours after application. For structures intended for liquid containment such as tanks, reservoirs, or swimming pools, wait at least 7 days before filling.
Cleaning of tools
Tools are cleaned with water immediately after use.
Other indications
- Do not apply on concrete with less than 7 days of curing
- Do not apply outdoors if precipitation is expected within the next 2 hours. In case of rain during application, stop the treatment immediately and resume only after the surface is completely dry
- Do not go over parts already treated, in order to avoid accumulation or excess material
- The product does not require post-application treatments; however, it is necessary to protect the surface from dripping and rain in the first 2–4 hours after installation
- The combined use of Drykos® Dryseal and Drykos® Dryseal Ultra increases the durability of the concrete by combining their sealing and water-repellent properties
