Dryfibers
Multifilament Polypropylene Fibers for Concrete

Drykos® Dryfibers are high-performance auxiliary polypropylene microfibers of the multifilament type, specifically designed for addition to various cementitious mixtures, such as concrete, mortars, plasters, and screeds.
The incorporation of Drykos® Dryfibers into the mix effectively counteracts the formation of plastic shrinkage cracks, improving the control of microcracks during the early stages of setting and curing of the mixture. The presence of the microfibers also provides significant benefits in terms of ductility and cohesion of the mix, contributing to increased impact resistance, resistance to freeze-thaw cycles, and overall impermeability of the hardened material.
Drykos® Dryfibers improve the volumetric stability of the mixture, promoting a more uniform distribution of internal stresses and greater long-term durability of the completed works.
The product is available in three different lengths: 6 mm, 12 mm, and 18 mm, to allow optimal selection based on the type of application and required performance.

Application info
Product preparation
Drykos® Dryfibers are supplied ready to use and require no preliminary preparation.
The microfibers are packaged in water-degradable bags, which can be inserted directly into the concrete mixer or truck mixer during the mixing phase, without the need for opening, promoting uniform distribution of the product and reducing operational time on site.
Application
Drykos® Dryfibers must be added directly to the cementitious mixture during the mixing phase. It is recommended to introduce the microfibers into the mixer together with the aggregates or binder, before adding the mixing water, in order to ensure uniform distribution within the cementitious mixture.
Mixing must be carried out with the concrete mixer drum at full speed for at least 5–6 minutes, verifying the complete dispersion of the microfibers and avoiding the formation of agglomerates.
In the case of adding Drykos® Dryfibers to a truck mixer containing already-prepared concrete, introduce the microfibers directly through the loading opening, with the drum rotating, and continue mixing while maintaining rotation at mixing speed for at least 5 minutes, in order to ensure uniform dispersion of the microfibers within the concrete. Before placement, visually verify the homogeneity of the mix.
